Full history on updates page
The updates timeline now goes back to April 2026, when langleaders was first built. Every major feature from the founding period through today is now documented in plain language.
- Aug 20Feature
Platform updates page
A running timeline of everything shipped on langleaders. Grouped by month, filterable by category, with a monthly activity chart showing build cadence. Updated with every significant build going forward.
- Aug 10FeatureLaunch
Public launch
langleaders announces publicly to the language industry. Over 2,000 active roles across 75 countries, 12 direct hiring system connections, and the Language Industry Hiring Index publishing weekly. Built as a side project for the localization, globalization, and language technology community.
- Aug 10Feature
City and metro area search
Jobs can now be filtered by city or metro area. Search for London, Tokyo, Berlin, or the San Francisco Bay Area and see roles in that market. A toggle lets you include remote roles alongside location specific ones.
- Aug 9Improvement
Smoother navigation
Filtering and searching jobs no longer jumps to the top of the page. Clicking back from a job detail restores your previous position and filters, and pagination scrolls to the results list rather than the top of the page.
- Aug 9Feature
Contact inbox
The contact form now routes messages to a dedicated inbox with reply capability. Replies are delivered by email to the sender, and every message carries status tracking.
- Aug 6Improvement
World map improvements
The hiring map now shows accurate labels at every zoom level, and country colours reflect real job density on a calibrated scale. Small countries like Singapore and Malta appear as markers, so every country with active roles is represented.
- Aug 6Fix
Accurate counts across the site
Country and company counts now match everywhere they appear, and job pages no longer show stale titles when opened directly from a link.
- Aug 4Feature
Developer documentation
The developers page is rebuilt with complete REST API documentation, MCP setup guides for Claude and ChatGPT, real example responses from live data, and inline API key creation.
- Aug 4Feature
Instant API key issuance
API keys are now issued instantly to any langleaders account holder. No approval process and no waiting: sign in, go to the developers page, and create a key in one click.
- Aug 4Improvement
LIHI recalibration
The Language Industry Hiring Index methodology was updated. Geography now uses validated country codes consistent with the rest of the platform, and the companies component tracks employers with direct connections for a more accurate picture of structured hiring. The index now publishes every Sunday.
- Aug 4Feature
Featured placements
Companies can now purchase featured placement on langleaders. Featured company slots appear on the homepage within their company type category, and featured job slots highlight a specific role within its career pillar. Five slots of each type are available monthly.
- Aug 4Improvement
Expanded job discovery
Job discovery now covers additional disciplines including game localization, subtitling, dubbing, and transcreation across major hiring markets. Branded tool searches find roles requiring specific language technology experience.
- Aug 3Improvement
Job source transparency
Every role now shows clearly where it was found. Directly connected jobs display the employer's hiring system and last confirmed date. LinkedIn discovered jobs show when they were found and note that real time status is unavailable without a direct connection.
- Aug 2Fix
Search no longer jumps while you type
Typing in search stays put until you finish, so the page no longer navigates mid word or loses your query.
- Aug 2Improvement
Search improvements
Job search now supports aliases and abbreviations. Search for l10n, i18n, MTPE, or LQA and get relevant results. Company names, disciplines, and role types all surface in grouped suggestions as you type.
- Aug 2Feature
Improved job detail pages
Job pages now show where a role was sourced from, how long it has been listed, and whether it is confirmed live through a direct employer connection. Connected roles show real time status.
- Aug 2Feature
Company profiles
Every tracked employer now has a dedicated profile page showing their active roles, hiring countries, discipline mix, and seniority distribution. Companies can claim their profile to add descriptions and contact information.
- Aug 1Feature
A clearer About page
The About page now tells the whole story on one scroll: what langleaders tracks, where the data comes from, how roles are classified, and what gets published.
July 2026
- Jul 31Feature
Free account unlocks everything
A free langleaders account now unlocks the full job board and the Language Industry Index. Browsing stays open to everyone, with sign in prompted only when you go deeper.
